THE BREED
FOR YOU
Think carefully before purchasing a dog. This is a
lifetime decision and dog ownership comes with a lot of
responsibilities. Think about your lifestyle...how much time and
energy will it take to train, groom and exercise your dog? Puppy
buying should never be a spur-of-the-moment decision. A lot of
thought, consideration and research should be done before a new
puppy is brought into your home.
 |

SELECTING A RESPONSIBLE BREEDER
A responsible breeder is the best source for a
well-bred healthy dog. Buy your dog from a well-respected breeder
who specializes in the breed you plan to purchase. NEVER purchase a
dog from a pet store. The breeder you choose should be someone with
whom you can communicate and trust. The breeder should willingly be
an ongoing source of information and advice about your
dog.
 |

WHAT TO LOOK FOR
When visiting a breeder, ask to see their other
dogs. This will give you an idea of what this cute little puppy
will look like when grown. Look for well fed, happy, playful,
outgoing dogs raised in a clean environment. Your puppy should
appear healthy, active and alert. Do not select a puppy that seems
ill or bad tempered.
 |

HOW MUCH DOES A PUPPY COST?
This is not the time to hunt for a bargain. Your new
puppy will be a member of your family for its lifetime. Make a wise
investment in the quality and health of your dog and you will
almost guarantee fewer veterinary bills in the long
run.
 |

A LIFETIME OF FUN AND
COMMITMENT A dog can bring a
lifetime of joy and happiness to your home when care and thought
are given to its needs. The time, energy and money invested will be
returned many times over in the companionship, love and devotion
your dog will give you.
